Documents required for a learner’s licence in Kerala
Form 1, Form 1A, age and address proof — a clear checklist before you open Sarathi.
Most delays in getting a learner’s licence are paperwork, not driving skill. Before you start a Parivahan / Sarathi application for Kerala, assemble scans that meet size limits and match your physical originals.
Form 1 is typically a self-declaration of physical fitness for many non-transport applicants under 50. Form 1A is a medical certificate from a registered practitioner — commonly required if you are 50+, or for certain transport classes. Confirm which form your case needs on the Kerala MVD document page.
Age and address proof must be clear and consistent across documents. Photograph and signature uploads have strict formats on Sarathi; wrong dimensions are a frequent rejection reason.
If you are enrolling at a driving school, share documents early so LL filing and fees can move in parallel with your first practice hours. iTurn’s all-inclusive beginner packages include learner’s and driving-licence support so you are not chasing forms mid-course.
