How to apply for a driving licence on Parivahan Sarathi (Kerala)
Step-by-step: choose state KL, LL number, slot booking and what to carry to the RTO.
Almost every fresh driving licence in Kerala now runs through Sarathi on Parivahan. The portal is powerful — and easy to mis-click if you rush.
For a new permanent licence after you hold a valid learner’s licence: open sarathi.parivahan.gov.in, select Kerala (KL), choose New Driving Licence, enter your LL number and date of birth, complete the application, pay fees and reserve a test slot.
On the scheduled date, appear with originals, fee receipts and a suitable vehicle for the class you applied for. After you pass the practical stages, the licence is typically dispatched by post — keep your address updated in the system.
Slot scarcity is real in busy RTOs. Structured schools that coordinate paperwork and mock tests help you arrive on a day when you are actually ready — not just when a calendar slot opened.
